Specific Opportunity PPC Direct Lending:
PPC Direct Lending is the direct lending strategy within PGIM Private Capital responsible for originating, underwriting, and managing a portfolio of privately placed leveraged loans for middle market issuers ($10-100 million of EBITDA). These loans are originated from the PPC regional office network as well as the dedicated central PPC Direct Lending team via private equity and family office sponsors, advisors / intermediaries, other direct lending partners, and directly from issuers. PPC has been originating leveraged loans for 20+ years on behalf of Prudentials balance sheet. Due to the strong / consistent performance of that track record coupled with growing transaction flow, PPC has recently embarked on launching a dedicated direct lending fund.
The Direct Lending group is seeking an Analyst to join their team and help grow the initiative. We are looking for an intelligent and motivated individual who possesses an entrepreneurial desire to be part of a fast growing and important platform for PPC. This requires astute credit analysis, financial modeling skillset, strong writing skills / attention to detail, and the ability to work within a small, collaborative, and dynamic team. This position is in Chicago and will report to an Investment Vice President in Direct Lending.

Your Impact:
The Investment Analyst role offers candidates the chance to build their analytical skills, expand their knowledge of private capital investments serving on the buy side, and broaden their knowledge of capital markets. In this role, the Analyst supports PGIM Private Capital in managing and investing private credit investments in companies around the globe.
Working on a small dedicated team, Analyst responsibilities include: Write internal credit memos; Perform industry and company research; Conduct comparable analysis; Financial modeling and credit analysis; Transaction and due diligence support; Portfolio and credit monitoring; Communication with portfolio companies; and Prepare marketing materials. The Analyst role includes direct interaction with senior management.

Your Required Skills:
* Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, with a strong record of academic achievement
* Excellent analytical and accounting skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel.
* Strong understanding of capital markets, including debt and equity security terms as well as valuation methodologies
* Strong writing, interpersonal and communication skills
* Business related experience preferred, but not required
* Participation in the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) program
