Job Description

An Analyst is responsible for preparing and drafting contracts for filing and approval of documents from state insurance departments and/or department of labor within the specified timeframe. Draft and negotiate responses to disapprovals within the specified timeframe. Does not have direct supervisory experience.

May perform any of the following: negotiate with external clients or suppliers, prepare various contractual documents, including but not limited to, new products and or changes for in force business, amendments, riders, certificates, agreements and/or bank trust documents, underwrite bids or contract changes for filing and approval with various State Insurance Departments.

Prepare policies/procedures for internal operations. May respond to inquiries to other associates, and research existing filings.

Other responsibilities include:

* Researching issues related to product development and state law to ensure document compliance

* May obtain regulatory approval and implement new products or product changes

* Acts as a department representative to various departments internal and external and responds to legal and regulatory issues

This position can be based in our Group Insurance offices in Roseland, NJ; Dresher, PA Portland, ME in addition to other Prudential offices or virtual.

Qualifications:

* Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills are required for in-force business

* System experience strongly preferred, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel and Adobe Software

* Previous contract, filing or regulatory experience, strongly preferred but not required

* Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements and related industry standards is strongly preferred

* Group and Individual insurance product knowledge are strongly preferred

* Ability to manage competing priorities and shift easily and swiftly

* Clear and concise verbal and written communication skill

* Results-oriented with attention to detail

* Proven ability to work as an independent contributor and as part of a team with minimal direction and oversight

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals with diverse backgrounds and abilities both within the team and with key business partners

* Demonstrated learning ability and attention to personal growth and development

*Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident. Salary range specific to Colorado: $74,100 - $100,300 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
