Aligned to Prudential Advisors vision to create a culture of investments and financial planning and a leading provider of financial advice and solutions, the Territory Advisory Consultant is a critical position for Prudential Advisors. This position's functional role as an internal Territory Advisory Consultant is charged with achieving Assets Under Management (AUM) growth, increasing revenue and number of financial advisors active on the Investment platform and engaged in financial planning. The successful candidates will have specific objectives within an assigned territory within the Prudential Advisors Distribution channel. The candidate in this role works closely with financial advisors and firm leadership to increase financial planning capability and financial advisor and firm investment revenue and AUM.

Through the development of strong business relationships, the Advisory Consultant provides coaching at the local level to strengthen and enhance the financial advisors skills and elevate the investment and financial planning knowledge of firm leadership. The Advisory Consultant will also deliver product information, competitive data, and provide technical guidance to financial advisors and firm leadership. Interaction with financial advisors is primarily through individual face to face meetings but also includes both large group meetings and small group sessions.

The Advisory Consultant is part of a team reporting to the Vice President, Business Development. The Advisory Consultant will collaborate with the Advisor Services product management team and with Learning and Business Consulting to drive results, increase technology adoption and share training needs uncovered. All materials, concepts and ideas that Advisory Consultants deliver are compliance approved.

This position covers a geographic territory. Significant travel is anticipated post COVID.

Qualifications:

* 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry
* High motivation with the ability to drive AUM and revenue objectives relatively autonomously
* A broad and comprehensive knowledge of the Investment business, including an understanding of the sales process and ongoing activity pertaining to maintain and growing AUM
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
* Familiarity with tools such as Envestnet Analytics, e-Money, etc.
* Solid understanding of compliance
* Series 7 & 65 or 66 within 90 days and prior investment or wholesaler experience a plus.
* Industry recognized designations such as ChFC, CFP are highly desirable

Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident.

Compensation for this role includes a base salary and sales incentives. Salary range specific to Colorado: $200,000-400,000. Sales incentives are based upon reaching set sales goals which vary based on the covered territory. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
