Lead and manage an assigned market(s) in the production and management of private equity real estate investments in a manner that is consistent with client objectives and operating expectations of Principal Real Estate Investors.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

n

n
* Lead and direct an assigned market(s) in the production of new development, redevelopment and repositioning activities, lease procurement, and other appropriate equity investment activities consistent with client return, volume and timeliness goals.n
* Establish property leasing goals that meet client objectives and goals and work with leasing brokers to meet or exceed specific occupancy benchmarks for each asset. Analyze tenant credit, negotiate market lease terms and documentation, and provide profitability analysis relative to market alternatives. n
* Implement client investment strategies in procuring new development opportunities and underwriting entitlement, construction, leasing, and capital market risk. n
* Directly responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and structuring ground up development joint ventures and assisting legal / development managers with joint venture documentation. n
* Actively direct an assigned portfolio to ensure the delivery of expected income, appreciation and occupancy consistent with client expectations as measured against appropriate market indices and benchmarks. n
* Provide oversight, guidance, and direction for all external parties involved in the asset management process. Lead regional engineering and development management staff to ensure the delivery of high quality and efficient construction/development services for clients. Represent Principal Real Estate Investors in presentations related to new capital raising efforts, existing clients, and consultants. n
* Lead and manage joint venture partners, leasing brokers, property managers and other external relationships to fulfill investment production, investment management, and client objectives. n
* Actively develop positive, long lasting relationships with joint venture partners, developers, brokers, and other industry participants to source potential future investment opportunities. n
* Reporting - Meet all client reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner. Throughout the year, provide variance analysis relative to actual performance versus budget and benchmark. nn

Qualificationsnn
* Bachelor's degree with evidence of a strong background in finance, mathematics, economics or business and preferably real estaten
* MBA preferredn
* Minimum 15 years commercial real estate experience with a track record of success with previous asset management/development assignments requiredn
* Must have demonstrated leadership experiencen
* Must have strong oral/written communication skills, listening skills and negotiation skills (on the phone, in person and making presentations)n
* Must have ability to make autonomous decisions on complex issuesn
* Must have demonstrated diplomacy and troubleshooting skills for use within the regional structure and with other internal functional areasn
* Must have strong organizational skills and demonstrate the ability to meet deadlinesn
* Must be able to work without supervision on a day-to-day basisn
* Must have strong analytical skills and have the ability to read, interpret, and understand contracts and other legal documentsn
* Must be able to travel to markets within assigned regions up to 20%-25% of time, or as requirednn
