Job Description

Under general supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines. Provides information for recording movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies. May operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment. Starting pay rate $18.01 to $25.85 depending on skill experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Stores raw materials as received. Pre-assembles, assists in pre-weighing, and charging materials for all batches in manufacturing area. Transports materials from yard storage (including bunkers) to warehouse.
* Send empty drums downstairs in proper condition for storage (bungs in head). Put safety bungs in all drums stored in 2nd floor warehouse. Clean safety bungs.
* Load or unloads finished goods or raw materials that are shipped or received.
* Uses different types of fork trucks, pallet jack and barrel jack to handle and move drums, boxes, bags or other containers of raw materials, finished products or rubbish.
* Takes inventory of materials as requested. Samples materials as requested.
* You will work in a production environment with appropriate safety procedures in place.
* Competitive wages beginning at $18.01 per hour with potential for higher wages and opportunities for promotions.

Qualifications

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
* Ability to work rotating shifts, work any job, and work overtime as needed.
