Description

The Instrument & Electrical Supervisor supervises craftspersons, vendors, and contractors who perform shop and/or field maintenance work to support the operation and maintain the facilities of an assigned area in accordance with existing company policies and procedures and applicable governmental regulations.

Responsibilities May Include

* Single point of contact for a process complex in the management of instrument and electrical activities and work execution.

* Conduit for communicating maintenance and reliability effort to the field and receiving feedback from the field on the conditions of the complex, status of first starts, pending schedule breaks and carryover work.

* Performing formal and informal investigations into root cause analysis of mechanical failures; documents findings and communicates findings throughout organization.

* Developing cross-plant Maintenance Strategies through networking with other Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Supt, TA Manager, and Business Team Leads.

* Planning and directing a group of contractors to complete tasks ensuring compliance with procedures, repair standards and cost constraints.

* Recommending staffing levels by craft.

* Consulting with operations, technical and purchasing in the procurement of goods and services.

* Implementing various programs regarding maintenance and reliability improvement.

* Developing or modifying maintenance or safety procedures and training materials.

* Planning, organizing, executing and documenting turnaround, daily maintenance, emergency and project work.

* Complying with all policies and procedures and all Federal, State and local regulations.

* Assigned to work 50 to 75% of the time to work outdoors exposed to weather elements.

* Know and observe safe work practices including wearing Personal Protective Equipment.

Position Requirements

Basic/Required:

* Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

* High School Diploma/GED Equivalent

* Maintain valid drivers license

* 5 or more years of experience working within a refinery or petrochemical processing facility

* 3 or more years of experience in electrical maintenance, crafts, or shops

* Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

* Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Information can be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic

Preferred:

* 2 or more years of direct supervisory experience

* 5 or more years of experience reading and understanding process, instrument and equipment diagrams

* 1 or more years of experience in reading and comprehending Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)

* Multi-craft experience

* Turnaround experience

* Intermediate proficiency with SAP

The Alliance Refinery is located on the Mississippi River in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, approximately 25 miles southeast of New Orleans, Louisiana. The singletrain facility includes crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrodesulfurization, aromatics and delayed coking units. It processes mainly light and medium, low-sulfur crude oil. The refinery receives domestic crude oil through a combination of pipelines, marine transportation and terminals. The refinery produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Other products include petrochemical feedstocks, home heating oil and anode grade petroleum coke. Refined products are distributed to customers in the southeastern and eastern United States through major pipeline systems and by barge. Refined products are exported primarily to Latin America by waterborne cargo.

In addition, this segment generates electricity and provides merchant power into the Texas market. Phillips 66 was founded in 1875 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
