Minecraft is seeking an experienced, innovative, and collaborative Social Media Lead with a passion for bringing the brand closer to the audience. In this role, you will develop and lead the Social Media strategy and implementation for channels such as, but not limited to, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, TikTok, Pinterest.
You will lead a team of talented professionals and identify new opportunities to delight our millions of players and increase the audience's love for the brand through owned and earned channels.
* Design an innovative social media strategy that resonates with our diverse and global audience and drive its implementation.
* Define social media priorities, set goals and targets, aligning to business goals and audience insights. Proactively identify areas of optimization, set best practices, and communicate these across teams.
* Lead and manage a team.
* Develop partnerships with platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, among others.
* Align strategy and content calendar to franchise key beats. Lead partnership with departments such as Marketing, PR, Editorial, Content Production, and Game Experience to create opportunities for synergy and align on priorities. Drive work with agencies and oversee budget.
* 5+ years of management experience
* 8+ years of experience in social media strategy planning, goal setting, and implementation
* Familiarity using data to adjust and optimize strategy and activations for community-facing channels.
* Great collaboration and communication skills.
* Knowledge of Minecraft, Minecraft Dungeons, and understanding of the Minecraft community.
* Years of Program Management or Engineering experience leading, defining and delivering project or service
* Have you worked doing in-game analytics in the video game industry?
* Have you been through at least one ship cycle for your product where you released a change to your customers? (For engineering tools engineers, their customers would be the engineers they work with)
* Experience building or creating a social media analysis
