The Developer Relations organization is looking for an ambitious, creative, results-driven leader that is passionate about organizational effectiveness and building team culture for our Chief of Staff position.

The Developer Relations Team in C+AI is reinventing Microsoft's relationship with software developers around the globe.

As a member of our Developer Relations Leadership Team, you will focus on the largest strategic initiatives by building business processes that enable the team to operate effectively and sustainably. A successful candidate in the role will be able to balance serving as a strategic advisor to Jeff Sandquist, CVP Developer Relations, and leadership team, delivering high-impact projects that expand the overall team's effectiveness and impact.

Strategic Advisor:

* Manage the CVP Developer Relation's time strategically ensuring coordination with core priorities, identifying the best place to direct their focus, and ensuring they are involved in decision-making at the right time.
* Partner with the Business Operations team to set monthly and quarterly prioritization on activities, key events and deadlines and facilitate alignment of the LT to meet those objectives.
* Partner with the Developer Relations Business Operations and Executive Admin to ensure CVP and Leadership Team time, resources, and budgets are contributing to the organization's strategic objectives.
* Review upcoming meetings for the week to ensure the CVP Developer Relations has the information needed to be as productive as possible. Send out agendas or documents to meeting attendees, as necessary. u202F
* Serve as strategic advisor and counsel to the Developer Relations leadership team.

Executive Communications:

* Partner to Plan and execute CVP Developer Relation's communication strategy for internal, customer, partner engagements and speaking engagements to ensure successful and impactful use of their time.
* Take a leadership role on all internal comms, messaging, and events (All Hands, Presentations) and drive the communications rhythm for the Developer Relations. Create All Hands agendas and presentations and run All Hands meetings.
* Partner with PR team to draft and review all external comms, interviews, speeches or presentations
* Build our weekly rhythm of connecting to larger cultural initiatives inside Developer Relations such as DevRel Camp, GIVE campaign, team events, visiting speakers, etc.

Team Culture / People Strategy:u202F

* Continually evolve the team culture, partnering closely with HR, so the Developer Relations organization is a great place to work for all our employees and attracts and retains the best talent.
* Run team listening systems and partner with the LT to identify, analyze, and develop strategies to address organizational health opportunities
* Elevate our partnership with Recruiting to ensure our organization attracts the best and brightest candidates and any openings are filled quickly and meet organizational hiring objectives.
* Work closely with LT and admin team on overall organizational morale strategy and implementation of org-wide morale events
* Manage onboarding for new team members to ensure new hires are welcome and set up for success
* Manage engagement with consultants to grow our leadership capacity and capability
* Own space strategy for the team including the build-out of a long-term Developer Relations space and helping the team make the most of interim space plans

Strategic Projects:u202F

* Plan, lead, and facilitate leadership and team offsites ensuring materials are sent in advance, time is well spent, and objectives are achieved.
* Monitor and strengthen our business policies and auditing, and improve our capacity for operating our business effectively

* 7+ years of proven management experience and results with experience across multiple disciplines
* 5+ years of program management skills to organize a busy workload and deliver projects on time
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
