The Team
The Health and Life Sciences Cloud and Data team accelerates innovation by bringing new AI and cloud- based services to life to improve health outcomes and lower costs. Our team drives the cross-company strategy for healthcare and life sciences and applies Microsoft's deep technical assets to improve healthcare and health equity around the world. We focus on technologies we believe will shape the industry in the 3-10-year time horizon, and bridge Microsoft Research and commercial products, as well as work on deep AI collaborations with customers and partners.
Responsibilities
As a leader in our health organization, the right candidate for this role has a strong bias for action and thrives in a start-up environment. In the Principal PM role, you'll be responsible for defining the vision, translating it to technical development, and delivering products that make an impact in the market. This position will assume the challenge of creating next generation platform components, so requires a blend of both thought leadership and technical product development.
Key responsibilities include:
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with experience and passion for engineering systems.
* Proven ability to develop product strategy and roadmap, and drive project execution.
* Experience with continuous integration and delivery of software that powers cloud-scale services.
* Experience with data driven, developer focused engineering, translating developer needs into requirements and design.
* Demonstrated success in creating an environment that fosters delivering results through collaboration in cross-organization projects with sense of personal ownership and accountability.
* Adept at navigating ambiguous problem-spaces, making data-driven decisions, and leading your team to successful product launches
Qualifications:
* 10+ years of engineering program or product management leadership or large-scale operations experience
* BS/BA degree, MS preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
* Critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, strong track record of structuring and solving complex problems.
* Superior verbal, visual, and written communication skills.
* A willingness to learn, share, and improve.
* Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibility and independence
* While direct health industry is not required, it is preferred that candidates have applicable knowledge or experience with key verticals in the health industry such as imaging, clinical trials, genomics, or MedTech.
