Basic Function

The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise Maintenance Machinists. A candidate for this position should be able to effectively manage personnel performance, champion change, influence and guide, be a company advocate, and make sound decisions in the absence of clear direction or written guidelines. Must have proven leadership capabilities, demonstrated team-building abilities, and strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive attitude within the department.

Roles & Responsibilities

Drive GoalZero performance in occupational safety, process safety, and environmental compliance
Ensures sites compliance with LyondellBasell Operational Excellence Standards and site procedures
Develop hourly personnel through coaching, goal setting, feedback, and assignments
Evaluate, plan, and execute maintenance tasks, projects and upgrades
Create, implement, and enforce maintenance policies and procedures to assure maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently to high quality standards
Continuously drive cost reduction projects and best practices relative to maintenance to help assure we provide the best services at the lowest possible cost
Assist in supervising any contractors used on site ensuring contractor observation of LyondellBasell safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing process
Prior supervisory experience preferred
Strong operations and/or mechanical background
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated communication skills
Demonstrated computer capabilities in Microsoft Office and knowledge of computer based systems such as SAP and Intelex
Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
A thorough understanding of the maintenance work processes and its interactions with operations
Excellent analytical skills to effectively evaluate equipment performance, troubleshoot equipment performance issues and knowledge to drive continuous process improvement
Strong PC skills with the ability to manage data bases, spreadsheets, control costs and manage the maintenance budget for area
Must have ability to manage multiple priorities
