Finance Transformation Office - Governance Analyst(DGO)

Job Description

The Governance Analyst is as a crucial member of the Finance Transformation Offices Governance Team, which is led by Sr Governance Leads overseeing the compliance of Citis data management as directed by the CDMP (Citi Data Management Policy). The analysist will be part of a broader Governance team that focuses on data and program management best practices and compliance. With consideration for the range of activities occurring under the FTO umbrella, the governance analysts will work to standardize, transform, and automate processes used to track and measure data policy compliance within the Transformation Initiatives as well as other Finance led initiatives. They will coordinate with not only their project workstream counterparts, but also with other analysts to ensure that best practices are developed, shared, and maintained irrespective of workstream, mitigating the development of any process silos.

Responsibilities:

* Support the DGO (Data Governance Office) through detailed analysis, reporting, and tracking of activities across finance functions, transformation program leads, and other governance responsibilities.

* Assist the DGO in the establishment and communication of data management policy, schedule of activities and oversight of compliance responsibilities.

* Assist in preparation of materials for quarterly reviews, including progress towards compliance of data elements, data quality issues, scorecard metrics and other data requirements in conjunction with Data Stewards and other data roles.

* Assist in the tracking and governance reporting for data domain standards, as defined by data transformation leads and CDGO (Chief Data Governance Officer).

* Work with DGO delegates to develop new KPIs and Metrics to track overall health of data management compliance, leveraging best practices

* Produce and analyze daily/monthly reports to communicate and resolve data management quality assurance issues including Monthly MOC, KPI reports , SLA breaches

* Review of weekly reports to ensure dispositioning on behalf of the Finance DGOs for IMRs failing KPI or approaching SLA.

* Work with DGO delegates to support annual reviews and assessment across Finance disciplines

* Manage documentation centrally stored to comply with audit and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience in Governance, Oversight and/or compliance functions in one or more of the designated specializations mentioned above with proven success in project execution.

* Experience in supporting the development and implementation of new business processes

* Solution-oriented, consensus builder, and ability to influence adoption and change

* Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills; being able to analyze data, draw conclusions, identify trends and issues, and diagnose root cause of issues

* Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

* Excellent organizational and strong results orientation

* Analytical mindset to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations

* A team player who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to carry out their work

* Experience within the Financial Services or another regulated industry is preferred.

* Knowledge or familiarity with DAMA (Data Management Assoc) industry standards is a plus
