POSITION SUMMARY

The position could be located in Auburn Hills MI or in Italy, Lugo Plant (near Bologna area), reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources. The Global Human Resources Manager & Communication Lead serves as an advisor to global functional leadership on all people strategy related matters.

We are looking for a strong HR Manager to provide proactive solutions to assigned global leaders and the related employee groups. You have experience developing strong partnerships and have implemented appropriate organizational change initiatives. In addition, as our Business Units' Internal Communication Lead, you will lead, develop and execute against a tiered internal communications strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Build and produce a wide variety of materials such as presentations, email messages, web content, internal videos, cultural events and newsletters.
* Provide direction and support to the assigned function(s) in all aspects of people strategy to include talent sourcing/acquisition, talent management, performance management, training execution and employee development, employee engagement, employee relations, development of policy/procedure implementation and compensation.
* Leads talent management processes for assigned global function that includes talent assessments and calibrations, leadership success and development planning.
* Key point of contact for global mobility for employees on assignment, including supporting communications and management of talent moves before and after assignment.
* Partners with the Human Resources, Vice President, Talent Director and other business leaders to provide strategic support to key global functions.
* Facilitates interpersonal, team and organizational development and inclusion programs in partnership with the Talent Director.
* Ensures effective talent sourcing and recruitment strategies, including emerging talent recruitment and programs.
* Maintains knowledge of employment regulations, HR trends, industry trends and business unit trends, maintaining compliance and implementing corrective measures when appropriate.
* Recommends standard methodologies and builds innovative ways for policies and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the department and services.
* Ensures HR policies and practices are communicated and aligned with all applicable federal and state law/regulations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

* Bachelors degree in human resources or related field, required.
* Minimum of 6+ years experience as a HR Business Partner, including supporting global functions.
* Preferred experience includes working in an automotive environment supporting an engineering function.
* Strong analytical/problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Outstanding team building and stellar communication.

VISA SPONSORSHIP

BorgWarner does provide sponsorship for employment visa status based on business need. However, for this role, applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The position could be also based in Italy, in our Lugo Plant (near Bologna) in this case will be a plus have a European nationality
