Information Systems Specialist, Mid

The Challenge:

What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting the Joint Navigation Warfare Center? Were looking for a systems administrator who specializes in Windows and Linux server administration As a systems administrator on our project, youll research, design, develop, or modify enterprise-wide systems and software. Provide Communications Security (COMSEC) compliance standards for existing systems. Configure Windows and Linux servers, and desktop and notebook computers based on client requirements. Install software on client computers and servers. Provide patching and DoD STIG's to servers and client computers.

Process requirements for telecommunication equipment and procure equipment as necessary. Establish IT security program and procedures to protect information and resources in accordance with DoD IT security regulations and directives. Provide IT security for firewalls, antivirus software, networking monitoring applications, and active intrusion detection systems. Monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot the computer networks. Youll help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. You Have:

* 2+ years of experience with IT requirements documentation and facilitation
* Knowledge of Information Assurance maintenance and coordination
* Knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
* Knowledge of Linux operating systems
* Able to independently determine and develop approach to solutions
* Ability to provide network security and operational requirements
* TS/SCI clearance
* HS diploma or GED
* Comptia Security + CE

Nice If You Have:

* Experience as a Systems Administrator on Linux servers
* Knowledge of Risk Management Framework
* Experience with the Joint Navigation Warfare Center
* BA or BS degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
