As a financial analyst on our team, youll work on a financial management strategy to help the DOJ's Financial Operations and Reporting Group succeed. Youll work with project management, task leads, financial SMEs and cash and payroll processor analysts to build an actionable plan for your client to secure the funding needed to achieve their goals.

This is an opportunity for you to learn the laws, regulations, and policies that will help your client develop well-formed requirements. Once the funding is in place, youll make sure the funding is used efficiently through consistent tracking and communication with project management, task leads, financial SMEs, and cash and payroll processor analysts. This is your chance to use your skills in financial operations, financial reporting, and accounting principles while furthering your financial analysis experience

You Have:

-2+ years of experience with bookkeeping

-Experience with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and creating formulas to perform analysis

-Knowledge of the theory of debits and credits

-Knowledge of GTAS, FBwT, IPAC, and CARS

-Ability to review entries and ensure transactions match supporting documents

-Ability to review documents and transactions for accuracy and compliance with rules and regulations

-Ability to analyze, prepare, and enter corrections, as needed

-Ability to research and trace transactions in various financial or accounting systems

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with data automation and analytics

-Knowledge of Department of Justice financial management standards, policy, and procedures

-Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

-Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
