As a Bank Security Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) Compliance Analyst, youll use your specialized compliance expertise to develop reports and written assessments to give your client the insight, understanding, and context they need. As a BSA/AML Compliance Analyst, youll help your client safeguard the financial system from illicit use and promote national security through financial intelligence analysis. Youll validate information and evaluate evidence related to compliance and enforcement actions. Youll evaluate financial regulatory information and institutional BSA compliance, including Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs). Using your knowledge of BSA/AML regulations and compliance programs, youll explore new data sources, build effective queries, and combine information from disparate sources.
As an experienced BSA/AML professional, your client will look to you for time critical recommendations, often under pressure. This is a chance to grow your expertise, develop new skills in regulatory and compliance matters, and share your methodologies with other analysts. You Have:
-Experience with drafting BSA Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) narratives or participating in SAR escalation and decisioning
-Experience with conducting AML investigations or completing Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) measures
-Experience with working in a private sector or government Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU)
-Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
-Knowledge of BSA/AML regulations and associated compliance programs implemented by financial institutions
-Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC once mandatory telework requirements are lifted
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
Nice If You Have:
-Experience with conducting investigations, examinations, or audits of financial institutions
-Experience with implementing or analyzing financial regulatory compliance programs
-Experience with auditing financial institution internal controls
-Experience as a paralegal
-Experience in enforcement or compliance and working with or for banking regulators, including the SEC, FINRA, OCC, FRB, FDIC, NCUA, or a state regulator, such as NY DFS
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
