The Alternatives Technology team is looking for a senior hands-on full stack developer to join their Jersey City team. The team directly works with investment, client service, operations and external fund administration teams to capture business requirements, design & implement technology platform used by these business teams. This is great opportunity for someone who is willing to work in a small team setting and work with cutting edge technologies such as cloud computing, data analytics, workflows etc., as well as learn and develop from a strong technical team.

The successful candidate:

* Will be part of the cross alts development team that works closely with the investment, client service, operations and external fund administration teams on an end-to-end cross alternatives solution
* Partner with number of Alts Line of business aligned technology teams
* Must be curious, hardworking, detail-oriented and motivated by complex analytical problems
* Should be able to work individually or as part of a team to achieve project goals
* Should be able to switch between technical business analysis at the early stage project, to a developer during the implementation and to DevOps once the product goes live covering all aspects of software development life cycle
* Should demonstrate interest in financial markets and have ability to communicate directly with the business users
* Must have a desire to learn and grow their knowledge on investment management

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
* Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
* Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
* Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
* Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
* Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
* Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
* Demonstrated and strong programming experience with Java/Python, React JS, staying on top of latest trends and technologies
* Experience building business workflows through technology automation
* Experience working with private or public cloud platforms and with developing Springboot and Microservices in a Cloud environment
* Good understanding of Database technologies like SQL server and can demonstrate strong SQL experience
* Experience working on an Agile Development team
* Preferred skills:

* Experience of working in financial services, ideally in a front-office environment.
* Knowledge of Cloud computing
* Experience working in Machine Learning and Data Science projects
* Prior experience working in smaller and global technology teams
