NA Sales & Marketing Business Management function sits within Finance & Business Management (F&BM) of the Corporate & Investment Bank. Business managers are responsible for supporting the business heads from an end-to-end perspective, helping business heads to drive the business agenda across financials, client coverage, risk & control (including regulatory), people and partnership. Business managers have significant exposure & interactions with senior management and are required to have a thorough understanding of the business & regulatory landscape, equipped with strategic, financial and project coordination skills.
Primary responsibilities include:
* Support the NA Equities Business Heads and their management teams by providing management assistance, for instance by convening business reviews and management meetings
* Assist to drive equities business strategy and priorities (in conjunction with Business Heads)
* Ensure delivery of business initiatives and projects - provide overall governance across multiple initiatives
* Ensure business strategy considers market structure and regulatory changes
* Drive competitive analysis and reporting (in conjunction with central team)
* Communicate business strategy, performance and priorities
* Contribute to strategic initiatives by supporting regional, cross-business and industrial partnerships; support strategic acquisitions and/or investment analysis
* Partner with NA Equities Product BMs to help drive the product agenda
Manage business risks and support the control environment:
* Identify, assess and mitigate business risks that could impair the ability to do business across the multiple European countries the franchise spans:
* Help manage the regulatory change impacting business (e.g. Dodd Frank, QFC, MiFID II, etc.)
* Partner with all control functions to support the enhancement of the control and compliance environment including contributing to remedial programs relating to regulatory inspections
Optimize business performance and planning:
* Assist with annual business budget process for NA Equities (in conjunction with Planning and Analysis)
* Lead client analysis and account planning for the NA Equities franchise
* Oversight for real estate needs and space planning as required
