The Global Data Center Management organization is responsible for governance, delivery, and management of JPMCs global portfolio of Data Centers and facilitator of the firms Global Data Center Strategy. The Global Data Center Business Operations lead will be responsible for managing the governance process, reporting and data analytics.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
* Lead the Global Data Center Management Governance process including:
* Review and alignment of data center initiatives with the Global Data Center Strategy prior to proceeding with project initiation and funding process
* Development of project plans (budget, resources, schedule) to inform project initiation and funding process
* Coordinate input by GRE Functional team leads for the above
* Ensure integration and coordination across GRE Regional and Functional data center activities, including understanding of all major initiatives, program and project activities and mange flow of information to the GRE and internal stakeholder leadership, capturing the salient, need-to-know and value-added information required to drive decision making, mitigate risks and deliver results.
* Collaborates with GRE Functional team leads (Design & Construction, Property Management) to report on performance, monitor progress, and improve processes for data center initiatives and operations.
* Collaborates with GRE Finance to ensure data center initiatives and responsibilities are incorporated into financial reporting and follow financial protocol.
* Ensure thoughtful and consistent integration of our GRE Partners - Technology, Security, Sourcing, Compliance, & Finance to facilitate governance and business objectives.
* Responsible for developing and reporting on and data analytics of Data Center operations, uptime, capacity utilization, energy efficiency, and incidents
Qualifications
* Minimum 10 years of experience in the corporate real estate business / industry
* Background in engineering, data center design/operations/industry preferred
* Demonstrated experience establishing and meeting goals, tracking and driving enhancement opportunities, and presenting progress of the same to senior management
* Team player. Must have a collaborative and participative management style.
* Strategic thinker with sound analytical skills. Display the ability to understand and translate strategic initiatives into tactical plans, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to drill into the detail.
* Experience in working with global teams and adjusting to time zones, with familiarity and willingness to continuously learn about regional and cultural differences
* Exceptional all-round communication skills in receiving, delivering, and broadcasting information to effectively manage teams and inform clients and senior management
