The Datacenter Systems Group (DSG) is responsible for architecting, developing and delivering production datacenter boards, systems, management software and solutions. These products leverage and optimize all possible Intel silicon into fully deployed systems/racks. DSG is a full product business PnL, shipping and supporting production systems to market. DSG is currently expanding its product line and system offerings and is looking for the right key players to accelerate our market penetration and growth trajectory.

The Datacenter PLM (Product-Line Lifecycle Manager) is a unique position inside Intel where you are responsible for the business success of a full system product line (silicon / board / system / rack / software / solution), shipped, sold and supported by DSG to Intel partners, integrators, and customers. As a PLM, you are responsible for product line strategy, profitability, business expansion, growth plans and initiatives. The PLM is accountable for the on-going success of your products and product-line from concept, to launch through the end-of-life (EOL). The PLM role also covers market/product positioning, competitive analysis and design win activity. In this role you will

* Demonstrate strong external customer engagement (partners and end customer).

* Develop and maintain a multi-generational roadmap, growth strategy and vision

* Product and Product Line ownership from concept, development, product launch to EOL

* Define key product strategies, develop and maintain sustainable differentiation

* Leverage Intel processors and beyond (e.g. Memory, SSD's, NIC's, GPU's, FPGA's, etc.)

* Act as key partner to engineering post POP3 to ensure what is designed meets spec, and tradeoffs that must be made meet the business and market requirements.

* Product Line Profitability- working with eng/finance on business case and product financials.

* Competitive Analysis - understand competition, customers, buying criteria, strengths, weaknesses, positioning

* Sales - ensure sales team has the technical collateral, support, tools, marketing collateral, pricing strategies, positioning and direct support during customer visits and partners engagements.

* Deployment - Ensure our partners and customers have the technical collateral and solutions required for the business success. Validate original assumptions are/were correct and course correct as needed.

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

* 7+ years of experience in product management, architecture, and/or design of datacenter server, networking, and/or storage solutions

* 4+ years of experience defining business strategies and/or technical product requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

* 10+ years of experience in product management, architecture, and/or design of datacenter server, networking, and/or storage solutions

* Product management experience in a hardware company
