Components Research is looking for a principal engineer to design qubit arrays for large scale silicon spin qubit systems. This person will work with a team of engineers across fabrication, measurement, and theory to develop scalable arrays against the constraints of advanced node design nodes. Primary study will be on spin qubits in a host of silicon substrates.

Extensive knowledge of qubit design and operation is required. Knowledge of cryogenic and vacuum systems highly desired, in particular dilution refrigerators. You will need to efficiently communicate and collaborate daily with other groups to determine and validate success criteria. Independent design and follow-through of unique, enabling ideas is a key expectation from this role. This position includes overseeing measurement equipment and collaboration with external research groups and vendor programs.

Qualifications

* A Ph.D. in Physics or Electrical Engineering.

* A minimum of 10 yrs of experience in the design, fabrication, and electrical measurement of Qubit devices

* Experience with designing qubit arrays and mapping/scheduling of algorithms

* Hands-on experience with cryogenic systems

* Hands on experience with microwave circuits

* Experience programming, preferably using Python

* (3) or more 1st author publications
