Job Description
Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
This position will be working with subject matter experts to manage lifecycle training and development plans for all craft workforce. All planning and coordination of technical skills training, both formal and informal training, for production personnel supporting all Navy Programs will be managed by this position.
Other duties include:
* Creating comprehensive craft development strategy for X33
* Aligning formal training and informal training (Craft Learning Centers)
* Managing training priorities and timely responses to program emergent demands
* Serving as a liaison between the training departments and Navy Programs
* Creating a signal demand of program specific training based on the build cycle of the ship
* Develop and manage training scorecards that require identifying key metrics, data analysis, tracking and reporting
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree or Apprentice School graduate and 10 years related exempt level experience; Or Masters Degree and 8 year related exempt experience. High School and 5 years of related trade experience can be substituted for a Bachelors degree. Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School could be substituted for a Bachelors degree.
