Goldman Sachs Personal Financial Management (GS PFM) specializes in creating personalized wealth management plans for affluent individuals and families. PFM REGIONAL RISK TEAM OVERVIEW

The Regional Risk Team aims to effectively identify, monitor, evaluate, and manage GS PFMs financial and non-financial risks in support of the firms guidelines and strategic plan. The Regional Risk Management team is responsible for identifying and managing risks across GS PFM and ensuring that those risks are managed systemically. To fulfill these objectives, Regional Risk Managements interfaces with a wide array of leaders, businesses and risk management groups across the firm. The cross-disciplinary nature of the projects that the team engages in makes for a rewarding and multifaceted work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Primary functions of Regional Risk Team:

* Risk Identification: categorize all position level risk of GS PFM; identify any new and emerging risks; curate and prioritize a list of top risks faced GS PFM and keep senior leadership of the division and the firm informed of GS PFMs overall risk profile
* Risk Management: manage and coordinate GS PFM risks across different risk levels; assess and manage risks at the household and account level and overall for GS PFM
* Stakeholder Communication: clearly articulate areas of focus requiring action by compliance, supervision and other key stakeholders

Key responsibilities:

* Interact with stakeholders within GS PFM and across other Divisions to help enhance and drive consistency across the firms risk management processes
* Engage with representatives from across the Firm to identify and appropriately categorize and prioritize financial and non-financial risks
* Contribute to the design and implementation of scenarios for surveillance
* Help to drive and create presentations or other reporting for senior risk committees focused on key risks, internal/external event reviews and/or new initiatives
* Assist in coordinating and driving agenda setting for select risk committees at the firm
* Assist with the end to end management and reporting of security incidents, operational incidents and trade errors
* Conduct surveillance of GS PFMs assets and transactions for heightened risk considerations

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree
* 2-3 years of work experience in financial services
* Interest in financial markets, investments and risk management, motivated by learning and continuous improvement
* Ability to work independently, form own judgment/opinions, provide insights and drive change
* Proactive with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build relationships remotely
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to comfortably and effectively interact with internal risk experts, business units and various stakeholders outside of Risk, including senior management
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
* Self-motivated with the ability to succeed with
* Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
