Were making big changes to the way we do payments at eBay, and are actively hiring for a Senior Android Engineer to help us build awesome new experiences for our users! Only a handful of companies in the world deal with mobile payments at the scale of eBay, and this is an opportunity to play a critical role in defining our new system.

* The Payments Android development team is responsible for developing and deploying payment integration and cart flows for eBays Android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ebay.mobile

Our app, with over 100 million installs, brings in billions in revenue and is the entry point for a good portion of our customers. Join our tightly knit team of superstars who enjoy working on large-scale, challenging, and interesting problems. We work in small, focused, collaborative project teams following an agile methodology.

* The successful candidate will have an expert's depth and breadth of experience in Android, Java, and their related IDEs (Eclipse, Android Studio) as well as familiarity with the integration of network services.

Desired Experience

* 6 Years of software design and development experience working on a team

* 3+ Years of experience developing commercial software with Java

* 3+ Years of experience developing Android Applications

* Experience developing and integrating with web services, TCP/IP RESTful APIs

* An expert Java Programmer, capable of writing commercial quality Android applications.Knowledge of Kotlin a plus.

* An expert in the Android operating system.

* Solid working knowledge of mobile application design considerations.

* Work well with team members and other teams, dividing up workload appropriately.

* Experience with Java IDEs (e.g. Eclipse), profilers, debuggers, revision control systems (e.g. GIT) and bug tracking (e.g. Jira)
