Job Description

Cardinal Health is currently searching for a Manager of Operations Management for the Auburn, WA pharmaceutical distribution center. This leader will be responsible for the overall management of warehouse operations, to include inbound and outbound operations. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations for the site and has 5 direct reports, and 85 indirect reports.

Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree preferred
* Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management
* 5-7 years experience leading, developing and managing diverse & inclusive teams
* Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma required, certification preferred
* Strong written & verbal communication skills
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products

* Manages professional employees, front-line supervisors and/or business support staff
* Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments involved in warehousing and distribution of goods
* Monitor performance and implement improvements to maximize output
* Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals
* Ensure cross functional collaboration with inventory, EH&S, quality & regulatory, and transportation
* Ensures employees operate within guidelines
* Interacts with subordinates, peer customers and suppliers at various management levels, and may interact with senior management
* Resolution of issues related to operations and/or projects
* Gains consensus from various parties involved

Accountabilities

* Manages staff to ensure timely distribution and receipt of product while meeting distribution center standards of budget, policies, procedures, and quality
* Recommends and implements programs, policies, and strategies to increase production and efficient space utilization within the facility
* Responsible for manager and employee population development, training, coaching, counseling and performance appraisals
* Ensures quality service is provided to customers and ensures prompt follow-through on customer correspondence related to shipment of merchandise
* Accountable for implementing Lean Six Sigma initiatives and projects and educating employees
* Prepares and submits daily and weekly production reports
