RESUMEN GENERAL (SUMMARY):

Responsible for designing, developing, implementing and evaluating optimal, cost-effective projects and technologies. In addition to providing technical support and service to responsibilities areas, the incumbent may also perform the following functions: supervising, requisitioning, defining, initiating, specifying, documenting, validating and training.

Provide a variety of engineering work to fully support the manufacturing activities related to process and product activities, giving direct support on new product introduction, development, products and process changes , maintenance of validation program and promote continuous improvement of medical devices manufactured in Aibonito facilities. Responsible for diverse range of local and divisional project activities related to manufacturing process introduction, development and changes, maintaining the continuous improvements approach on assigned process areas to comply with establish Corporate standards and Quality Regulations.

TAREAS Y RESPONSABILIDADES (DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES):

Define, implement and improve manufacturing, process in terms of process lay out, material flow, line balancing and process capability.

Perform process value analysis to prevent waste through the process.

Define, implement and enhance the manufacturing monitor system on quality and output performance.

Perform process validation on process changes driven by new ideas or improvement.

Generate corrective actions as required to eliminate the root cause of scrap.

Provide technical training support to the manufacturing operators.

Automation projects development from concept to implementation.

Establish a customer - supplier relationship with other manufacturing areas.

Supervise automation technical personnel.

Coordinate preventive maintenance with manufacturing areas.

Coordinate jobs related with the manufacturing areas (W/E) or other days.

Capital project coordination VIP Project Development.

Interact and coordinate with the outside contractors on facility projects.

Act independently with minimal supervision to conduct smaller approved projects. Expected to make suggestion on improvements based on recent technical knowledge.

Able to contribute to cost estimating of major capital budget items and the spending of approved project funds.

Contribute to the planning and execution of components of the development process, which apply to product revision or enhancement or a defined piece of a larger project.

Investigate and analyze customer service problems and design improvement suggestions. Recommend design improvements.

Promote a zero-harm work place, and assure that required EHS resources are available and that all applicable EHS practices and rules are being followed by supervised employees.

Observe data privacy and confidentiality.

DEMANDA FISICA (PHYSICAL DEMANDS):

Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

EDUCACIN Y/O EXPERIENCIA (EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE):

Bachelor Degree Engineering (BSSE BSM ) Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.

Three to Five (3-5) years related experience in manufacturing or project engineer in a closely related industry.

CUALIFICACIONES (QUALIFICATIONS):

Good communications skills and able to work under pressure. Uses latest engineering techniques like process simulation tool, work simplification, waste prevention, value engineering analysis, cost-benefits analysis, and engineering CAD/CAM tools. The position involves necessary administrative process like computer systems documentation; manufacturing performance monitoring and service rendered reporting.

IDIOMA (LANGUAGE):

Bilingual (English and Spanish).
