This position will be on the Financial Insights & Technology (FIT) team within Amgens Corporate Finance group and will report to the FIT Reporting & Analytics Teams finance manager.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: gaining familiarity with reporting/analysis done by finance groups and business partners, identifying where FIT can help relieve these groups of manual and ad-hoc approaches to reporting that FIT can replace/replicate/improve upon with its enterprise-grade data process and Tableau reporting capabilities (especially where there are broad use cases), project managing the development of Tableau dashboards and underlying dataset creation/augmentation, and working with finance/business partners to test, roll-out and train on the new reporting.
The client-facing element of the job is especially important, given this roles success rests on networking with potential internal clients to understand their needs, promoting the FIT teams offerings/services in a roadshow-like capacity to influence adoption and providing regular, engaging, extensive training opportunities to empower the users of FIT tools.
This position will continue to drive the FIT teams standardization agenda where possible: encouraging that planning and actuals entries to be done correctly, consistently and timely in agreed-upon systems of record, that financial calculations be done consistently across the organization as much as possible, and to generally push finance and business partner groups towards standardized, centralized and automated reporting where time-consuming, manual reporting approaches can be replaced.

Masters degree
OR
Bachelors degree and 2 years of finance experience
OR
Associates degree and 6 years of finance experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of finance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* Masters degree & 3 years of finance experience
* Bachelors degree & 4 years of finance experience
* CPA or MBA
* Amgen Finance experience
* Experience with dataset design and analysis
* Experience with Tableau dashboard development
* Experience with Hyperion Planning and Smartview reporting
* Experience training large groups remotely and in-person
* Experience with the basic financial statements
* Demonstrated success at facilitating processes for complex issues and partnering cross-functionally
* Able to work in matrixed teams, across geographic and functional reporting lines
* Able to own and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders
* Compelling and persuasive communicator (verbal and written) with excellent interpersonal skills
* Comfort with training large groups both in-person and remotely
* Demonstrated track record of being a team player and providing versatility and flexibility to a team
* Ability to manage reporting and data projects from upfront ideation/requirements-gathering, through development, implementation and training customers
