The Executive Director, for Medical Therapeutics, Physician Relations & Reimbursement Strategy, is responsible for providing the U.S. Medical Therapeutics business unit with a comprehensive strategy and tactical execution plan for: 1) building high-value strategic physician relationships and industry partnerships, 2) executing a comprehensive reimbursement strategy for all U.S. Medical Therapeutics current and future reimbursed products, 3) engaging in cross-functional collaboration and on-going assessment of industry trends in the medical therapeutics space in a manner supportive of the company's priorities.
This person will specifically build strategic alliances and relationships with physician leaders and key innovation stakeholders, industry organizations and professional medical associations/societies. The role serves as Allergan's main liaison for communication and coordination with key alliances, industry relationships and professional partnerships. It also serves as the main liaison with Government Affairs.
The Executive Director must partner closely with various cross-functional individuals/teams and work effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders (i.e., Executive Leadership, Marketing Leadership, Sales Leadership, Managed Markets, Government Affairs, Medical, Compliance and Legal) in a matrixed environment to achieve targeted management bonus objectives (MBOs) and established key performance indicators (KPIs). This individual will also be responsible for informing and educating internal stakeholders on evolving strategic alliances, the company's reimbursement approach and health care trends, as well as assessing and clarifying the company's opportunity and risk associated with such areas.

Qualifications
Education
* Bachelor degree or above, MBA preferred
Experience and Knowledge
* A minimum of 10 years' experience in sales, sales leadership and/or marketing, reimbursement and/or managed markets or combination thereof
* Working knowledge of the medical therapeutics and medical device industries along with the buy-and-bill market strongly preferred
* Understanding of the pharmaceutical and medical device regulatory and compliance environment
* Comprehensive knowledge of reimbursement strategy, Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), Category I and III CPT code formation and extension, International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) coding
* Experience working with the resource-based relative value scale (RBRVS) and the RVS Update Committee (RUC) process
* Prior involvement and competence in leading local, regional and national initiatives
* Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed team environment and collaborate, mentor and lead with and without authority
