The Data Science Intern will be working with the Software and Systems team responsible for the Next Generation IVD instrument development. You will be able to apply your analytical and data science skills to analyze the instrument telemetry data, build machine leaning models and implement data pipelines using Azure cloud Services. The results of your research will contribute directly to our products, providing improvements to healthcare around the globe. If you are looking for an impactful internship opportunity, read on!

In this role, you will have the following opportunities:

* Work on a project under the direction of a mentor and in collaboration with other highly talented data and software engineers
* Analyze data, build machine learning models, and build data pipelines to provide insights into instrument performance and behaviors
* Provide regular updates covering progress, problems and solutions.
* Propose new and creative data analytics use cases
* Document your findings and present your work to the team at the end of the summer

The basic qualifications include:

* Pursuing Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
* Programming skills (e.g, R, Python, SAS or other) for data manipulation, analysis and visuals
* General understanding of statistical concepts (e.g, ANOVA, mixed models, time series, machine learning)
* Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
