Job Summary:

The Enterprise Compensation team is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that support corporate clients, as well as all functional organizations of The Walt Disney Company, including: Human Resources, Finance, Technology, Legal, Strategic Planning, and other areas. These organizations are enablers of our world-class businesses, and span across all segments and geographies. In this work, the Enterprise Compensation team partners with other human resource functions to develop solutions that attract, retain, and motivate top talent for these organizations globally.

As part of the Enterprise Compensation team, the Manager, Compensation is tasked to provide consultative services to the Enterprise Technology / CIO function and the Global Information Security (GIS) function. Leads one employee who will provide consultative services to the Disney Parks, Experiences & Products (DPEP) Technology function. This includes counseling and educating HR Partners, Business leaders and employees on the Companys compensation philosophy, job family framework and administering compensation programs. The Manager, Compensation will also play a key role in creating and executing the companys technology compensation strategy across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

* Serves as the lead/primary compensation consultant with accountability for making compensation recommendations for their client group(s)
* Supports the creation and maintenance of job families structures across all clients supported and functional technology jobs in other segments
* Takes proactive steps to ensure that compensation levels are market competitive for their clients, and functional technology roles across the enterprise, including collecting, interpreting and analyzing data from industry market surveys
* Delivers reward philosophy, strategy and program changes to HR business partners, Talent Acquisition partners, finance partners, executive teams and managers and emphasizes alignment to business/reward strategy and resolution of related issues
* Keeps abreast of current events with the organization and industry that include org strategy and/or performance
* Lead client projects and/or participate in enterprise-wide compensation projects that involve development and/or re-design of existing compensation programs
* Accountable for at least one major component of the Annual Compensation Process (ACP) tasks on behalf of the greater Enterprise Compensation Team
* Directly leads at least one Compensation Consultant, provides coaching and guidance to ensure high level of employee performance, as well as taking an active role in employees career development

Basic Qualifications:

* 7+ years of experience in the field of Compensation
* Advanced knowledge of compensation program concepts and practices
* Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a commitment to accuracy
* Ability to work with a high level of autonomy
* Knowledge of relevant federal, state and local regulations
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
* Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to varying audiences including Sr. Leaders
* Ability to understand and relate to multiple stakeholders from various disciplines (e.g. finance, legal, operations)
* Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
* Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Experience with Workday and/or compensation planning systems preferred
* Experience with Comp Analyst and/or other compensation market pricing tools
* Experience supporting multi-national Technology industry clients

Required Education

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or equivalent
