We're committed to building a better future - from the responsible manufacturing of our semiconductors, to caring for our employees, to giving back inside our communities and developing great minds. Put your talent to work with us - change the world, love your job!

About the Precision ADC (PADC) Applications Team Role:
The Precision ADC Applications Team in Texas Instruments (TI) has a shared vision to become the best mixed-signal precision data acquisition applications team in the world. By executing that vision we will contribute greatly to TI's business success by leveraging our team's technical credibility and experience to become customer's 1 choice in Precision ADCs by helping to develop differentiated new products, providing industry-leading customer support and creating industry-leading online content. Core areas of influence include NPDE, EVMs, customer support, content strategy and execution, and quality return support.

We're searching for applications engineer with the passion and excitement to grow, innovate, take an active role in new product development, and provide world-class application support and content to customers. This position will join the fast-growing and high-visibility Audio Converter investment area that has released the compelling new TLV320ADC5140 and PCM6260-Q1Audio ADC cores. We are an inclusive, innovative, and inspiring team to work with in all functions from Design, Systems, Validation, Test, Apps, and Marketing and look forward to adding another talented team member to our group.

The main priorities for the role are:
NPDE: Partner with systems and share experiences gained through customer support to improve new product definition, verify early silicon, and release products with comprehensive design support collateral.

EVM: Deliver high-quality and easy-to-use evaluation platforms for PADC products. EVMs should meet datasheet performance, feature a standard/recommended application schematic and layout and ideally result in example code generation.

Quality Returns: Build infrastructure and develop a standard flow with the quality team to support the automotive CRCT metrics with our growing automotive business. Partner with quality, validation, and design to help reduce returns on repeat/trouble devices.

Content Strategy: Partner with systems and marketing to define the content strategy for the product line's investment areas, functions, and EEGI's. Create content that supports customers through all phases of their design cycle. Develop best-in-industry training and educational content (TIPL) to improve mindshare and awareness. Build a foundation of strong circuit/function cookbook and software driver content that can be leveraged to meet business goals.

Customer Support & E2E: Deliver best-in-industry customer support both direct and through E2E. Partner with marketing and systems on opportunity management to convert important customers to WIN with direct design support. Support our large Cat-5 customer base with high quality E2E forum responses and FAQs. Travel to key customers and regions to drive business and provide training through organized events, tech days and FAE summits.

Preferred qualifications
Familiarity to data acquisition (ADC/DAC) concepts and Audio signal processing
Solid foundation of precision lab measurements and equipment (audio analyzer, scopes, DMM, pulse/ARB generators) and lab circuit debug and performance measurement
Ability to understand and design complex mixed-signal device configurations through register maps and datasheet analysis
Analog expertise in schematic and PCB layout design, debug, and analysis
Software familiarity in GUI development, Linux drivers, C code, and ability to program and connect and develop MCU+ADC designs
