Summary:

We are searching for a Nursing Assistant -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide general assistance to the assigned department by assisting the staff in patient related duties in an age-appropriate manner, transporting patients safely, providing general housekeeping, and running errands in a timely manner.

Hours- Part Time Weekends- Saturday & Sunday, 7a-7p

Responsibilities :

* Performs patient care duties throughout assigned shift
* Assists in positioning/transferring patients as directed by the nurse, having the recovery bed and warm blankets available in a timely manner
* Performs physical environmental duties during assigned shift as designated by the nursing staff
* Returns x-rays, special equipment, and other supplies to the appropriate department/area in a timely manner and upon request by unit personnel
* Cleans and sets up beds and procedure rooms according to hospital policies and procedures
* Cleans supplies and equipment as needed and maintains equipment by reporting malfunctioning to the department manager in a timely manner

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* 1 year hospital experience preferred
* Knowledge of basic nursing care and the ability to demonstrate age appropriate care of patients seen in the GIPS, work well with others, and follow directions from all staff members
