Summary:

We are searching for an Assistant Director of Government Initiatives-- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting reporting to the President of The HealthPlan. In this position, you will research, design, implement and transition to new government operational initiatives for the organization. The Assistant Director will ensure timely and compliant implementations to ensure the organization is fulfilling our HHSC contractual and regulatory responsibilities. The Assistant Director will also work to ensure their projects are effectively integrated with in a seamless manner.

Responsibilities :

* Researches, plans, designs, develops, communicates, organizes, directs and implements a coordinated approach to HHSC new initiatives in a manner that meet all HHSC contract and regulatory requirements
* Develops performance metrics and dashboards to monitor compliance HHSC initiatives
* Creates performance metrics and dashboards to ensure accountability and transparency of performance; escalates areas of risk and non-performance
* Ensures all aspects of HHSC projects are integrated with health plan operations
* Leads and participates in HHSC Improvement activities
* Provides analysis of reports for operational management and strategic planning
* Responsible for provision of necessary resources to meet requirements of State, Federal and/or NCQA standards

Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, nursing or related field required
* 5 years project management in a health care or managed care organization or government role required
* 2 years supervisory/formal leadership experience required
* Masters degree may substitute for 2 years of project management in a health care or managed care organization
