The Field Support Warehouse Worker does hand selecting and/or forklift movement of food and non-food products including reading labels, placing product in the proper locations on pallets, let-downs, replenishment, put-away and/or preparing for shipping. Requires significant travel to Performance distribution centers within a geographic region. Position is physically demanding and entails exposure to varying temperature zones.
Travels for consecutive weeks to/from company locations within a geographic region, i.e. Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, etc.
Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
Meet required performance standards per company guidelines.
Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets. Manually place the product on pallet from pick slots and racks as required and affix label as required.
Work in multi-temperature areas (dry/cooler/freezer) as assigned.
May select products using voice and/or scanning technology.
At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Must be 21 years of age
Must have valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (3 yr lookback)
Minimum 1 yr warehouse (selector/forklift) experience in foodservice distribution company/industry.
Able to travel 75% of time to other locations across country
Able to use personal vehicle and/or rental car for travel to/from operating company locations for consecutive weeks throughout specific geographic territory.
Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required for the position.
Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights. Products generally weigh 10-35 pounds and may weigh up to 60-90 pounds, depending on the location product inventory.
Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
18+ months order selector and/or forklift work experience in foodservice distribution industry.
Live within reasonable travel distance to/from Oakwood, GA to be based at this location when not assigned to other locations.
