Job Description GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Inventory and Reporting Analyst is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reviewing data, inventory transactions, and reports for various departments, including the providing of ad-hoc reporting and analysis. This position is also responsible in re-engineering processes, data, metrics and reports to ensure accurate information by conducting comprehensive transactions to identify problems, recommend solutions and drive implementation of improved practices or tools. This role also includes preparing and presenting data for review to management for making informed decisions to reduce risks or improve overall performance. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Inventory Management.
Essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:
* Performs routine reporting and analysis to include but not limited to:
* Inventory liquidation
* Inventory losses
* Forecast audit and accuracy
* Inventory turns
* New material reports
* Material attributes
* Aged Inventory
* Out of Stocks
* Forward buy requirements and savings
* Customer pre-books (Supply Sync)
* Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis such as:
* Capacity issues
* New customers
* Inventory item matches
* Risk assessment
* Income and revenue
* Supports cross-functional inventory performance reviews among Merchandising, Finance, Operations and Sales.
* Prepares data and analysis and maintains action plans to ensure that inventory performance strategies are being executed as planned.
* Conducts post-implementation analytics to ensure that the expected value is realized or to determine factors that are preventing full benefit realization.
* Identifies unproductive inventory for cut, in order to optimize inventory productivity and turns.
* Provides critical input for ongoing processes.
Required Qualifications Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
