The Loader prepares pallets of out-going freight for shipping, transports pallets from the inventory staging areas with a fork truck, pallet jack or by hand into trailers, in the correct stop sequence, according to a predetermined loading plan, damage-free, observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Assists Order Selectors and performs other similar duties as requested or assigned by supervisor. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities:

* The Loader prepares and transports pallets of out-going freight for shipping from the inventory staging areas with a forklift, pallet jack or by hand into trailers, in the correct stop sequence, according to a predetermined loading plan and properly secure once completed. Ensure freight is damage-free and all quality standards are met.
* Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Report any issues immediately.
* Ensure work area is safe and perform safety checks on equipment.
* Physical requirements include but are not limited to standing, walking, reaching, lifting, stacking or pulling products of various sizes, on shelves of various heights, weighing between 10-90lbs throughout the shift.
* Inspect empty trailers, verify that they are clean and clear before loading.
* Wrap pallets with cellophane, place load/pallets in the proper slot on the trailer and secure. Make sure shipping labels are in place as needed.
* Inspect and move pallets to proper storage area with a pallet jack/forklift.
* Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
* Maintain a clean and clear work area, dispose of all materials to the proper area or receptacles.
* Ensure all equipment is secure, remove/replace batteries and complete all necessary paperwork.
* Assist Order Selectors as needed and perform other related duties as assigned.
