Monday thru Thursday 5 am to 3:30 pm with potential overtime. This is a standing role and you will be expected to lift up to 36 lbs.
In this role you will:
* Read and follow work procedures
* Work in areas that are hard to reach and in awkward positions
* Maintain equipment, read blueprints and understand bow layouts
* Install front and rear bulk head start group
* Install overhead lining sheet
* Performs any other assigned task
* Stand, crouch, climb 10 hours per day (in addition to overtime) in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with intermittent noise, fumes, solvents and paints
Basic Requirements
* At least 3 months of mechanical hand tools experience
OR
* At least 3 months of power tools work experience
Additional Requirements
* Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills
* Hand tool experience using wrenches, clamps, benders, and box knives
* Power tool experience using power drills and fastening tools
* Ability to achieve high performance goals with changing work directions
* Good mechanical aptitude
