Product Marketing Manager, Messenger Kids

Messenger Kids is the safer app for kids to connect with their family and friends. Made exclusively for kids, it is the only messaging app that gives parents control of the contact list and kids control of the fun! In the last few years, Messenger Kids has grown rapidly to connect millions of kids around the world with the people they care about most, using kid-friendly stickers, interactive filters, messaging and video chats. Messenger Kids is leading the industry to provide kids with a fun and safer way to express, create and communicate! We are hiring a Product Marketing Manager to join the marketing team at Messenger Kids to help continue the momentum with our younger audiences. The right candidate has demonstrated success driving execution and impact of scalable consumer marketing programs for consumer facing products. Experience with kid-targeted products and parent marketing is highly preferred, as well as experience managing and working with a large cross-functional team (including internal and external partners). They will be responsible for bringing features to market, driving awareness and engagement, and helping consumers understand and love the Messenger Kids brand. This person must have excellent strategic, analytic and communication skills, experience managing the go-to-market process from beginning to end, from guiding consumer insights strategy to executing and optimizing plans. This person must have a passion for results-driven approaches and comfort with ambiguity and change.

Product Marketing Manager, Messenger Kids Responsibilities

* Influence product strategy and in-product experiences with relevant consumer and market insights

* Work with product team to distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages

* Leverage internal product tools & data to inform ways to provide users value

* Create and execute go-to-market plans to launch new products and achieve business goals. Develop launch strategy, including rollout plan, creative asset development, and communication goals to best drive awareness, engagement, and affinity

* Craft & develop compelling audience-specific messages and programs

* Identify and execute on breakthrough product marketing activities that reach target audience effectively

* Translate data & research findings into actionable insights that will have an effect on marketing efforts at the product & brand level

* Partner with internal creative teams and external agencies to deliver compelling creative and communications

* Be the expert in the product's target audiences, representing the point of view of users to internal teams

* Work effectively across cross functional teams such as product management, engineering, design, data science, research and others to achieve business goals

Minimum Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience in marketing with a consumer focus

* Data & insights-informed, analytical and problem-solving skills

* Experience with launching innovative and disruptive products

* Experience partnering with and influencing Product Management

* Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (internally and externally)

* Project management experience

* Consumer-facing marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing, or other related discipline

* MBA

* Experience in kid and/or parent marketing

* Experience with consumer-focused communications products

* Experience launching and building consumer-facing brands, preferably in consumer products, media or e-commerce industries

* Experience transitioning from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
