Facebook's Enterprise Network Engineering team is seeking an experienced manager to help guide development of automation software for network infrastructure. You and your team will be responsible for building, implementing and operationally supporting network services with a strong focus on automation. We are looking for a candidate with a passion to influence others while contributing to the teams goals. You will work alongside engineers to improve existing solutions while providing structure and guidance to your team and peers.
Enterprise Network Engineering Manager Responsibilities
* Be a hands-on team leader with deep technical experience in networking, systems and software development
* Help define, and drive regular development of an aggressive technical roadmap to meet the needs of the team, and partner teams
* Operate in a rapidly evolving environment, adapt quickly to new information, re-prioritize as needed
* Manage engineers to strengths, enable, unblock, and grow talent through coaching and technical mentoring
* Proactively identify resource needs, participate in recruiting efforts, and hiring to grow the team
* Responsible for people management of a team of at least 4 engineers, providing performance reviews, continual feedback, coaching and career growth for direct reports
Minimum Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in network engineering
* 2+ years experience managing a team
* Experience in Python, Shell or Perl in order to push software and network interaction
* Working knowledge of networking hardware, networking and Linux systems
