Accounting for Midstream activities
* Prepare gas plant settlement statements and gas gathering statements
* Prepare the Gas Utility Taxes and the Gas Gathering Annual Report
* Reconcile volumes to Balance Reports
* Record imbalance transactions
* Confirm crude and gas transportation invoices in Allegro or with Marketing and process invoices for payment
* Midstream Plant, Property, and Equipment tasks and journal entries
* File monthly and annual state reports
* Apply cash receipts
* Record journal entries - record for gas facilities and record ad valorem accruals
* Reconcile inter-company accounts for proper eliminations between affiliate companies
* Reconcile general ledger accounts
* Reconcile AR balances
* Update desk procedures as needed
* Support audits (internal and external)
* Other activities as appropriate
Job Requirements
Bachelors degree in accounting is preferred. A business degree in a related field will be considered, must have at least 18 hours of accounting. 2+ years of oil and gas industry accounting experience. Must possess good analytical, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills. Requires intermediate skill level in Excel. Must have a good work ethic, be accurate, dependable and detail oriented. Must also possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work with various departments, including Division operations personnel. Must be able to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines. Some travel is required.
