JOB SUMMARY

CBRE's Design practice has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in our Miami, Florida office. This is a great opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with 1 to 5 years experience to work on complex electrical building systems for large projects. Most projects will be focused on Arc Flash studies. Projects will be all across Florida. Overnight travel will be required at times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of a senior engineer, prepares electrical designs and perform calculations in support of large commercial and industrial projects both renovation and new construction.

Independently completes development of electrical power systems design, development of power system model, compiles technical reports and other activities requiring the knowledge of standard electrical engineering principles and techniques.

Supports the design of electrical projects as well as the MEP/Fire Protection engineering team

Assists engineer with planning the layout of a project and integrates engineering elements.

Assists in preparation of Revit and AutoCAD drawings and construction documents.

Assists engineer with preparing operating and maintenance manuals, studies, and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree from four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 0 to 2 years experience required. Candidates with experience designing electrical building systems are strongly preferred.

Detail oriented, self-starter with ability to work independently

Ability to identify electrical equipment in the field

Working experience with engineering and power system modeling software (AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, EasyPower, etc.)

Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70

Experience with Revit and AutoCAD is required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
