Avery Dennison Label and Graphic Materials North America (LGM-NA) is seeking a hardworking senior communications specialist to manage programs and content relating to the companys internal communication strategies. ABOUT THE ROLE: The regional internal communications specialist reports to the director of communications for the Label and Graphic Materials North America (LGM-NA) business unit, located in Mentor, Ohio, and intersects with all functions. Your primary focus is to support the internal communications strategy and related deliverables designed to enhance employee engagement and help drive business results for the North America region.

You will work directly with all levels of the organization and partner primarily with the Human Resources, Operations, Sustainability and Corporate Communications teams to plan and develop innovative, engaging communications that support the company's brand and values.

The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record supporting management with organizational communication needs; developing and delivering well-crafted, targeted communications; and designing, delivering and measuring communication programs. This role requires a great deal of writing, presentation development, and strong project management.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

* Build engaging, creative, high-quality content for a variety of channels, including the global intranet, internal announcements, campaigns, and events.
* Coordinate with Corporate Communications to plan, manage, and execute enterprise-wide internal communication projects.
* Oversee feedback, measurement, and impact of campaign activities.
* Provide general communication counsel and support.

Qualifications

Education:

* Bachelors degree in communications, journalism, or related field.

Experience:

* 5+ years internal communications experience.
* Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
* Experience managing a corporate intranet and content management systems.
* Strong project management, ability to work well under pressure, and keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Messaging, storytelling, and design. We need someone who is able to transform complex business messages in clear, inspiring, and relevant content to ensure the messages resonate with everyone. Storytelling, compelling journalism, and creative design are vital to the role. You have a strong background in writing for a variety of styles and formats.
* People and cultural understanding. People are at the heart of what we do. To connect with employees, the internal communications specialist needs to understand the cultural factors that influence people at work and how they receive and interpret messages. You understand various audiences needs, motivations, environments, and perspectives to segment strategies and build messages that stick. Experience working within a multinational company is a plus.
* Relationship building, coaching, and facilitating. A key element for success in this role is the ability to listen, challenge, and influence leaders and managers on how to have two-way dialogue with employees. You are experienced and have the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
* Listening and measuring effectiveness. As an evidence-based decision maker, the regional communication specialist asks the right questions and translates the responses into true insights. You understand how to analyze data and craft this into a meaningful picture.
* Willing to go above and beyond. You are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of quality, speed, and flexibility. You are the first to roll up your sleeves and get work done, even when at times its outside the scope of the job. You take deadlines seriously.
