Key Roles and Responsibilities: This Senior Advanced Technical Support position will be responsible for end-to-end sustainment of E911 services and Location-based platforms by contributing to the validation of design principles to meet operational requirements. This position will focus on certifying emerging technology solutions, software/hardware upgrades to the platforms, and resolve complex trouble conditions using his/her expertise to create performance reports and correlate information from logs, performance measures, and transaction records to quickly identity trouble conditions.

This position will also be responsible for Methods and Procedures documentation/assessments and ensuring that MOPs are properly risk assessed for network changes. The personnel will analyze outages, participate in root cause analysis, make/implement actionable plans to ensure network reliability, and proactive maintenance. Responsibility will include participating in new technology roll out and conduct knowledge transfer to make the team/network more efficient and perform work error free.

Additional responsibilities but not limited to:

Validate design and implementation meets critical services design principles

1. Blast radius when equipment goes oos should be minimal by ensuring automatic failover to geo-redundant locations while preserving state without losing any transaction.
2. Vet scenarios that may cause silent outages.
3. Health check is E2E to ensure each process within the call flow is handled without error.
4. Each equipment in a service area pool has appropriate capacity to handle all traffic within the pool at any given time.
5. E911 traffic is prioritized during high volume events and single point of failure does not exist within the E2E call flow, including shared resources for IP/Signaling transport or within network environment.
6. Ensure call flow and measurement results meet FCC mandates for accuracy and PSAP termination.
7. Create test plan to cover each technology, call flow, and non-optimal scenarios to include failovers and/or retransmission.
8. Identify bugs/weaknesses of application and research path to resolution.
9. Pre-validate network, system configurations, and CSO ASPR compliance.

Operational Integration

1. Create performance reports and soft alarms utilizing logs, counters, and transaction records available in data repository and train other team members to modify reports/alarms as needed in the future.
2. Train Tier support teams to troubleshoot issues at the application, transport and SDN/container level.
3. Collaborate with Labs to produce accurate and in-depth call flows, failover schema, and traffic redistribution, when necessary.
4. Create knowledge base for troubleshooting and resolving various alarms/alerts system generates.
5. Produce effective documentation that encompasses NDR, MEDG, Implementation, SINOPs, operation plans and vendor materials (application, 5G call flow, and Cloud environment).
6. Integrate product/call flow/network diagrams to various and applicable internal tools for integrated operational dashboards.

Job Contribution: Senior level technical expertise. Deep technical knowledge and subject matter expert on ATT technologies.

Education: BS degree in Math, Science or Engineering, Computer Sciences or Operations preferred or equivalent related network experience.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of successful network engineering or related experience. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role. Supervisory: No.

Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to ATT compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
