As a Remarketing Specialist you will provide quality and efficient customer service by performing administrative duties related to the remarketing of vehicle returns. Every call is an opportunity for you to use your communication and negotiation skills while working with customers, auto dealerships, vendors and financial institutions concerning retail and lease accounts. You will works with other team members to ensure that the daily workload of the center is completed. What is Remarketing? We prepare and manage the inventory of Ally's U.S. pre-owned retail and lease-return vehicles, which includes: Vehicle Return Management Transportation Logistics Inspection - Title Coordination Online and Physical Auction Sales Direct-to-Dealer Sales Direct-to-Customer Sales Visit www.ally.com to learn more. The purpose of this position is to provide quality and efficient customer service by performing administrative duties related to the remarketing of vehicle returns. The position can include special projects or non production duties based on business need. This position works with other team members to ensure that the daily workload of the center is completed.

## The Work Itself

* Builds proven peer-to-peer relationships in a team environment to meet operational needs.
* Communicates optimally and clearly on a daily, weekly, monthly basis with outside suppliers, customers and dealers to provide exceptional customer service regarding routine requests.
* Supports rigorous quality, control and compliance programs to include an ongoing control/compliance self-assessment process.
* Responds promptly to vendor requests (information, data, letter generation, etc.) on an as needed basis.
* Handle call escalations and customer disputes.
* Communicate process improvements and standard methodologies as they pertain to SmartAuction.
* Identify issues or trends requiring immediate escalation to Value Stream leadership.
* Escalate significant issues, trends or concerns immediately to the SmartAuction Management.
* Handles higher volume SmartAuction customers.
* Provides daily reporting to Supervisors and Management staff.
* Problem solve issues affecting departmental operations, research possible solutions and provide recommendations to peers and supervisor.
* Allocate Team Work assignments.
* Monitor Team Work assignments for accuracy.

## The Skills You Bring

* HS diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree preferred.
* 3-5 years of experience in financial services or related field is preferred.
* Basic knowledge of general/standard office and administrative procedures and methods
* Requires Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
* Significant Excel experience required.
* Oral and written communication skills sufficient to clearly provide routine information to team mates, customers, dealers or suppliers.
* Computer skills sufficient to enter data on spreadsheets and communicate to internal and external customers.
* In limited subject areas judgment is required to determine the applicability of guidelines or policies to specific situations.
* Some ingenuity and initiative required to collect information, coordinate activities with others, and resolve routine and/or factual problems
* Effective Negotiation skills required
* Conflict Management skills required.
