Position Description

We support multiple lines of business, such as deposits, brokerage, home loans, personal lending, B2B lending, and customer care. And our best tool for supporting those businesses is our ability to listen...to our business executives describe where they want to go and what their challenges are; to delivery teams describe new edge cases and what theyre worried about; to our technology executives lay out their strategiesThen we tell them: we got this.

Job Responsibilities

This is a senior role with no personnel management duties, reporting to the Director of Solution Architecture. A typical set of daily responsibilities include:

Meet with senior leaders to review business and technology roadmaps

Take overall lead on systems design for large, enterprise initiatives

Socialize design with peers, senior leadership, delivery teams, and vendors

Create fit-for-purpose design artifacts and keep current-state artifacts up to date

Engage with delivery teams throughout the SDLC

Mentor team members

Qualifications

Were okay if youve never had a job title that says Architect in it anywhere and experience is more important than education. If youre the person on your team people go to when they need a problem solved, youve got a great chance at being successful here. Some of the stuff we look for:

Extraordinary written and oral communication skills, with the ability to simply convey complicated technology and business concepts

Strong problem-solving skills

7+ years of experience as an IT professional

Should be strong with many of the following tech skills: Java / JEE, .NET, AWS, Azure, Docker and container management, API and service architecture, OAuth, SSO, data modeling, ETL, analytics, data warehousing, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React), PCI compliance, MFA

Collaborate with project teams across the organization to develop and apply standards

Ability to author and support the content for Solution Design Documents including Context Diagrams, Application Models, Application Profiles, Use Cases, Logical Application Models, Process Models, Logical Data Models, and High-Level Designs

Be able to learn and adapt new technologies quickly
