Participate in the development, interpretation and implementation of the corporation's plans and programs throughout the region
Liaise with the Center of Excellence to develop effective staffing strategies to deliver on the operational commitments
Implement and enforce the policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation
Plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the region as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities for individuals
Provide general guidance to regarding labor and employment law compliance, wage/hour laws, sexual harassment and discrimination prevention, etc.
Ensuring sufficient, capable, trained labor to perform the work for all operated sites
Implementation of mandated programs and policies
Ensure compliance with system requirements
Serve as valued partner to the relevant business partners for advice and counsel
Evaluate and counsel business partners on business decisions, considering both the needs of the organization and risks
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in a related field is required, advanced degree preferred
3 5 years management experience in human resources
Appropriate industry experience is a strong plus
Union experience preferred
Excellent communication and leadership skills required
Strong analytical/problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain high performing teams in a matrix environment
Excellent customer service skills with an emphasis on taking ownership and being responsive to internal and external customers
