Job Description
FUNCTION
The primary functions of this position are to, under the supervision of the Regional Manager, review bid boards and plan rooms, perform equipment take offs, coordinate compilation and preparation of bid packages, follow-up of open items, sourcing materials, copying of drawings/specifications, and other administrative tasks in support of sales growth.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Qualifies prospects, makes effective sales presentations, answers questions and objections in a proficient and responsible manner.
* Surveys electrical systems and is responsible for determining maintenance, repair, modification and/or replacement requirements to provide prospects with solutions to problems both internally (to operations team) and externally (to customer).
* Estimates cost of proposed maintenance/repair/modification/replacement, interpret drawings, equipment, and job conditions and apply company pricing standards to the estimate.
* Understands customers cost to own, operate, and maintain facilities and translate into proposals and sales that will enhance customers facility while reducing long-term owning and operating costs.
* Identifies prospects in assigned market. Promptly follow up on leads and referrals. Establish customer rapport and identify needs. Maintains an active backlog of quotes to assure booking goal is consistently met.
* Promptly addresses customer concerns to assure resolution of problems and maintain long-term positive relationships.
* Understands prospects organization and decision-making process. Anticipate and answer objections. Commit the prospect to a decision-making timetable.
* Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales objectives.
* Assist Regional Manager and Project Managers with preparation of pricing estimates and proposals.
* Champion Sales Force CRM, input leads, opportunities and bookings.
* Performing other duties as assigned by Regional Manager.
Minimum Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of
* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent combination of similar technical training and experience;
* 5+ years work experience in the electrical estimating field and experience in the service industry in various operations support, accounting, administrative office management and project management roles
* Requires a general knowledge of the service industry, administrative, computer and record keeping procedures;
* Understanding of the details of each project to ensure complete and accurate proposals;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project;
* Ability to work independently, as a team, and under general supervision taking direction as given.
* Above average math, reading, and analytical skills are required with the ability to use good judgment when necessary to make solid effective decisions.
* Clear concise verbal communication, ability to effectively communicate in writing and excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the organization as well as clients or customers and vendors.
* Highly organized with strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and set priorities to complete duties in a timely and efficient manner.
* Knowledgeable of current NETA, NEC, NFPA-70E, Electrical Classifications, IEEE/ANSI and other applicable current standards and guidelines;
