As the company's second line of defense, Corporate Risk or Independent Risk Management provides independent oversight of risk-taking activities. Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk.
Strategic Enterprise Risk Management
Strategic Enterprise Risk Management (SERM) is a group directly under the Chief Risk Officer that is responsible for a variety of strategic functions within Corporate Risk that includes risk reporting, risk governance, risk programs that oversee risk measurement and risk identification, strategic and reputational risk oversight, and risk optimization and strategy.
The Risk Initiatives team, part of the Enterprise Risk Program Integration group within Strategic Enterprise Risk Management, is looking for a candidate to join the team. Risk Initiatives enables the development of enterprise risk management capabilities, improves integration across Enterprise Risk programs and addresses key risk initiatives in order to elevate risk management capabilities and drive efficiency and effectiveness. The candidate will work collaboratively across the Enterprise with the Front Line and Independent Risk Management.
This role will support risk initiatives such as:
Execution of the quarterly Risk Management Effectiveness assessment process
Enabling Risk Management Transformation commitments
Establishing an enterprise-wide concentration risk management program
Design and build out of an Enterprise Risk Capabilities Assessment tool
Improving Enterprise Risk Program (ERP) communications and developing consolidated reporting
Providing subject matter expertise on the content and use of Foundational risk components for risk type, risk management effectiveness rating and risk profile rating
Please Note: Candidate(s) must be located in one of the listed site locations (Charlotte, NC, New York, NY, Minneapolis, MN or Des Moines, IA). Position is currently remote; however, candidate(s) will be required to work on site when Wells Fargo returns to standard operating model.

Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 7+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in risk management
