Job Title: Senior Digital Analyst
Requisition ID: 153503BR
When you2019re a part of the team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you2019ll do important work, like helping customers in finding cures for cancer, protecting the environment or making sure our food is safe. Your work will have real-world impact, and you2019ll be supported in achieving your career goals.
How will you make an impact?
Do you find yourself coming up with concepts to analyze to understand how something is working or how it could help the business? Are you comfortable with directional data, numerous sources and determining the insights it all can bring to guide the business? If so, you will thrive here!
We are looking for an experienced data/digital analyst to go beyond data extraction, reporting and dashboards. This analyst knows reports and data nuances are important, but it2019s the deep analysis and curation of the full story that come out of it that get you excited.
* Versed in business and marketing analytics best practices and strategies, allowing you to turn a complex analysis into a digestible and actionable story.
* Astute at simplifying the complex is a necessary skill in this role.
* Experience leading with strategic decisions and guidance for peers and business partners. You will blend natural curiosity, business/marketing experience, and technical familiarity to generate insights and carve compelling analyses.
* Not afraid to go deeper into the data, question the results, and look for ways to improve performance (digitally, offline, processes, etc).
* Comfortable troubleshooting, enhancing, curating and being creative with data, since you know good data can lead to a good analysis.
* An analyst and a storyteller at heart, and you will work on various projects and communicate with different stakeholders to gain valuable business context. Your data sets will be diverse 2013 at times complex and unstructured 2013 but your unique viewpoints, experience, and teammates will keep you grounded and help you navigate.
* You will use or build reports to help you with your analyses, and you can deftly use the tools available to you to inform your findings and insights. The data will range in systems from numerous sources (including, but not limited to, digital, offline, sales, revenue, loyalty, BI, CRM). You embrace flexibility, as the data landscape can change and we continually evolve and refine methodologies.
* The analyst2019s journey is often intense but impactful and rewarding.
What will you do?
Curiosity, critical-thinking, and persistence are key in this role. Self-assessment and a continual growth mindset are mandatory, as the analytics field constantly changes (i.e. search engine algorithms change, social media approaches evolve, new tools and methods, etc.). Data and figuring out different or new uses/approaches must fascinate you. Furthering strategic and leadership skills is an area you2019re ready to fine-tune. You also enjoy sharing your knowledge via brainstorming and guidance or documentation of best practices from analytics perspectives. Analytics is a community, and no analyst is an island. You strive for quality work and fine-tuning - but you also know that perfection is the enemy of good. You must be comfortable with 80% complete data, after all the Pareto principle means a lot to you.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and turn investigations and deeper analyses of key and relevant business questions into compelling stories
* Assess and improve efficiencies to permit time for proactive support and insights
* Create, validate, and refine methodologies to determine ROI of various marketing efforts
* Problem solve, troubleshoot, and identify data gaps to better address business questions

* Collaborate and foster relationships between analytics and partners (marketers, executives, cross-divisional groups)
* Enable stakeholders through documentation of techniques, best practices, conducting training sessions, etc.
