Right ideas change an organization; right transformation office enables that change. This role is part of Thermo Fisher Scientific2019s Biosciences Division (BID) organization. The Digital Program Manager (DPM) of BID, Business Transformation Office will support the divisional leadership team to ensure that each initiative is well designed & implemented. The DPM will provide end to end project management leadership (concept to completion), while fully owning the mechanisms which ensure successful project delivery. The successful DPM is expected to provide strategic thought leadership to project workstream leaders, stakeholders, & executive sponsors while demonstrating a keen eye for the tactical elements of projects. The DPM is required to drive projects that span multiple businesses within Thermo Fisher Scientific that support our Digital GTM (Go-to-market) priorities. The role supports large-scale enterprise wide projects that requires innovative solutioning to addressing business challenges & achieving organizational goals & objectives.
What will you do?
* Serves as a thought partner to the divisional leadership team & helps translate leadership visions into defined objectives & executable plans by fleshing out key ideas, assumptions & projections; ultimately building out the entire vision (resource allocation, work plans, timelines, & financial outcomes) for leadership input/approval.
* Responsible to drive cross-functional/regional projects which are strategic in nature to the ongoing evolution of the BID business.
* Functions as a liaison/thought partner between the BID Leadership Team & various project work stream leaders to ensure business needs have been met & delivered on schedule. Address conflicts/issues, escalating as necessary, to overcome obstacles.
* Partners with key influencers and stakeholders in Corporate E-business, IT and Digital Marketing functions to ensure BID initiatives have the support and focus needed to be on time and successful.
* Identifies key issues & risks, recommend options which are supported by a clear fact set & analysis, build business cases to support revenue &/or cost synergies programs, cost-to-achieve/budget, etc., facilitate & negotiate individual & team decisions.
* Maintains a dashboard with the status of in-flight projects, reporting on key risks, dependences and timelines.
* Keeps track of project spend to ensure initiatives are delivered within budget.
* Works on complex problems where analysis of situations/information requires an in-depth evaluation & knowledge of various factors impacting overall outcome of the project.
* Serves as a trusted, neutral ally to executive leadership helping navigate political, cultural & functional divides while building consensus & driving alignment.
* Influences all levels of stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization, heavily weighted at Sr. Director level & above.
* Directly leads large cross-functional change programs & provides subject matter expertise & industry best practices related to business transformations. Requires an understanding of stakeholder motivations, politics & impacts to the organization.
* Delivers &/or leads presentations for steering committees & executive staff.
How will you get here?
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor2019s degree in Marketing or equivalent required; MS/MBA preferred.
* PPI/Lean/Six Sigma Certification a major plus.
* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
* Experience with Web, CRM and popular Martech and Ecommerce platforms.
* Role based in Carlsbad, CA, but global in scope.

* Lead project status & cross-functional alignment reviews while monitoring interdependencies through appropriate operating mechanisms.

* Surfaces capacity, pacing, resourcing issues & any other red flag issues needing leadership attention for initiatives within the entire BTO/PMO organization.
