Job Description

Summary:

Partners with Operations to provide compliance with the Metrology program for operational Instrumentation. Coordinates, implements and executes instrument audit activities. Performs inspection of completed work, review contractor, and third party services invoices for accuracy.

Essential Functions:

Performs instrument audits on equipment to ensure equipment is calibrated and due dates are met.

Ensures the site is in a state of compliance at all times.

Reviews calibration work orders for completeness, accuracy and on-time.

Provides and presents Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) documentation for regulatory and customer audits.

Reviews, approves, and enter master data into OneMaximo.

Issues deviation management system records for calibration deviations and assists with deviation investigations as needed.

Meets with Project Engineers and equipment owners to determine calibration requirements.

Develops Calibration Plan for equipment enrolled in the site Maintenance Plan.

Coordinates, along with Planners, equipment owners, and Supervisors, the timely completion of the project maintenance including the leadership and direction of all resources required both in-house and with outside contractors.

Provides technical guidance regarding the maintenance, modification, and engineering of equipment and processes from a metrology perspective.

Monitors the timeframe of calibration activities and routinely represents metrology at department huddles. Ensures safety and quality compliance by both contractor and in-house resources. Complies with all job-related safety and other training requirements.

Issues and monitors all required work permits for OSHA and EPA.

Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Methods as assigned.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

High school diploma

Experience:

Three years of experience in industrial instrumentation or electrial maintenance is preferred.

Equivalency:

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Competencies:

Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures. Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills. Self-starter, mature, independent and dependable. Ability to work in a fast paced environment under pressure, able to multi-task and is results-oriented. Demonstrates ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Effective time management and prioritization skills. Requires discretion and independent judgment. Very high degree of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public, including tact to handle sensitive matters. Highly effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficenecy in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Physical Requirements:

Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
